This is the sixth year that the local villages have organised this event. If you like your jazz combined with the local cuisine of La Bergerie de Raphaël in Vallandry, then this is probably your highlight of the summer! The music starts and the street party takes over. Annecy – Music festival and lakeside fireworks – 8th August
Merveilleux Champignons – 12th – 19th August
This is a special week organised by the chemist in Peisey, whose hobby is collecting mushrooms! You go out for walks in the forest to gather the different types of edible mushrooms that grow in the area.
Festival of the Costumes – Saturday 15th August
All the villagers are decked out in traditional Savoyard costume and parade through the old village of Peisey, before setting off up the valley to the Vanoise Park for a picnic and other entertainment.

Visit the Baroque Trail – the beautifully restored Baroque churches of the Savoie. In particular, visit the churches of Peisey-Vallandry and Notre Dame de Vernette.
A variety of small artisan workshops in the valley still plying their wares.
